Timothy Moore

Obituary of Timothy Allen Moore

Timothy Allen Moore passed away in his sleep on March 28th, 2020 at his home in Valrico, Florida at the young age of 42 years old. The shock of his swift and sudden passing has rippled through the hearts of many across the world. Tim’s insatiable laughter spread happiness into the lives of everyone he crossed paths with and he had a unique gift of being able to lighten any mood – usually with inappropriate jokes and his corny humor!

Tim’s love for ice hockey developed at an early age, a sport that he shared with his younger brother, Tony. After graduating high school from The Miami Valley School in 1995 in Dayton, Ohio, he was recruited to play hockey as a goalie at the University of Findlay. During his time at the University of Findlay, he joined the chapter of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Tim graduated in 2000 with a Masters degree in Environmental and Occupational, Health and Safety Management with a minor in French. He spent his first year out of college working in Caen, France as the EHS Manager at Howmet Castings. His successful career also included working for Honeywell, Goodyear, Plastipak Packaging and finally JBT Corporation where he was the Global HSE Manager. Many can attest to the amazing leadership and mentorship that Tim brought to their lives.

Never one to sit still, Tim’s adventurous spirit led him on many amazing travels all around the world. His travels included the Virgin Islands, Mexico, France, Amsterdam, South Africa, Brazil and many more. Tim and his wife, Marcy, were married on the beach in San Diego, California in 2009 and lived in Celina, Ohio for several years until they moved to Tampa, Florida for Tim’s job.   He was a supportive stepdad who devoted time and energy to his stepsons Brad and Kyle.

He loved scuba diving and being in the ocean and it was only fitting that he spent the last years of his life near the beach.

Tim’s claim to fame was being an extra in the movie, Airborne that came out in 1993 and you can catch a quick glimpse of him in the street hockey scene.

Tim is survived by his wife of 10 years, Marcy Moore of Valrico, Florida and her sons, Bradley Fischer of Valrico, Florida and Kyle Fischer of Celina, Ohio – his loving parents Debbie and Allen Moore of Springboro, Ohio – his biological father, Craig Lantz of Sidney, Ohio –  his brother, Tony along with his wife Claire Moore and their children, Laila and Rían Moore of Dublin, Ireland – his sister, Jennifer Moore and her children, Charlotte and Grahm Smith of Springboro, Ohio – and his sister, Allison (Moore) Messer along with her husband Collin and their children, Elliana and Silas of Centerville, Ohio.

Tim’s life is to be celebrated. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

"Il n’y a qu’un bonheur dans la vie, c’est d’aimer et d’être aimé." -George Sand

A celebration and memorial of Tim’s life will be planned at a later date.
